Valentine's day: 10 days away :)
One of the undeniable features of February, it’s nice I can’t argue… to see the store displays elegantly covered with red, it radiates warmth over the grey cold winter.
Tulips , roses… . , surprises, bears and gift boxes.
Despite the fact that this particular day has no significant to me, but it’s an opportunity to see something special.
Last year, I got the weirdest present … I received a phone call from “A” urging to leave me something at the company’s security office, I said sure you can. Couldn’t stop thinking and imagining.
Till he showed up and gave me “Dark City” movie on DVD, unwrapped and in a broken case… ?!!! (It didn’t upset me, in fact I found it funny… but sure we no longer talk :D)
Note to the guys: please wrap the gifts nicely… it’s as much important as the gift itself, get something simple, elegant and symbolic. (don’t spend a lot, think a lot).

Well Valentines Day is almost here and people everywhere are getting excited about it...well it is a truly nice celebration...and entire day dedicated to the celebration of love...well to enjoy some more of the spirit an fun of Valentines Day do drop by my blog sometime and check out all that's there!!!

i love this day for reasons like u :) , it's not special for me either i have my own valentine's day ;), i just like the general atmosphere where everyone tries his/her best to please the one he/she cares for.

you are absolutly right , wrapping is the secret and it can always be a good messenger to the one you give a present and sometimes it is better than the gift itself, it shows how concerned you are about the person more than the gift , you know all my friends call me to give them ideas about wrapping and flowers and it make me happy to do so.

You know what this is all about, it's making the statement that you care.. I myself like to go a bit to the extreme, scented boxes filled with dried flowers, chocolates, fancy wraps ..silk lining and organza ribbons.
Funny enough, these are only ideas that I give to my friends and never been implemented by me.

As for your note on wrapping, point taken even thoughI am not a guy, My usual wrapping style was just to leave the gift in the bag and put some tape on it, then with a felt pen write my note on the bag.
I have a friend from Japan where wrapping is very significant. Even the knot you tie in the ribbon has special meaning. From that moment on I realized I must focus more on wrapping. (so now I hire someone to wrap for me)

Best wishes to you too, I do have an opinion on wrapping, try to do it yourself, shop for the materials and the easiest way is to buy ready made boxes and the ribbon and you do it, just the way you like. I think it will be more special.
"Hand made = heart made".
